Lee Bobbitt

Junior political science major from San Antonio.

Bobbitt is a feature twirler with the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, and has been the College of Arts & Sciences student senator for two years.

“The only way SGA is successful is with a diverse group of students."

 

 

Philip Pride

Senior Latin American and Iberian studies major from Alice, Texas.

Pride is the former Opinions Editor for The Daily Toreador and a member of the Texas Tech grassroots environmental organization.

Pride said that as president his number one priority would be enhancing the academic standing of the university

 

Internal Vice Presidential candidates

James Baumgartner

Junior mechanical engineering major from San Antonio.

Baumgartner is the current clerk of the SGA and is running on a ticket with Lee Bobbitt and Austin Pennington.

"I’ve had the opportunity to work with the two people I’m running with, Lee Bobbit and Austin Pennington, and all of us really do have a heart for trying to change, first of all the face of SGA – it’s kind of gotten a bad rap in the last few years."

Fuller Dailey

Junior accounting and advertising major from Wylie, Texas.

Dailey is a current SGA senator at large and chairs the Intergovernmental Committee. He also is a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.

"I feel like I’m a superior candidate just because who I am as a person. I’m well-rounded, very committed... I feel I would be the best person to turn SGA around."

Austin Pennington

Junior finance major from Rockwall, Texas.

Pennington is a current SGA senator and is running on a ticket with Lee Bobbitt and James Baumgartner.

“It’s a huge opportunity to serve the students here at Tech and give back what I’ve been given here...  I’ve always enjoyed having a say in what goes on and helping and working in teams to do that."

Josh Frost

Sophomore political science/pre-law major from Austin,Texas.

Frost is a current SGA senator and a member of the  Delta Chi fraternity and President's Select.

"I really think this is something I’d be good at ... negotiating and meeting with officials is kind of my game, so I think that’s why I’d do a good job.”
